Museum Musée de l’Hotel Sandelin, 14 rue Carnot, 62500 Saint-Omer has been entirely renewed: few tiles, but tiles related European and Asiatic ceramics, from the Renaissance till the 19th c. Musée Henri Dupuis: tile panels in the ‘Cuisine Flamande’.

Alejandro Artucio Urioste, Director of the Museum. More than 2400 tiles (end of 18th c. - early 20th c.) are on show: Catalan, Valencian and Andalusian tiles, French tin-glazed tiles (1000 from Desvres), European Art Nouveau tiles, Portuguese, Neapolitan and Dutch tiles, and local Uruguayan production (ca. 1840). In 2003 four smaller publications on Spanish, Asian and Latin American tiles were released by the Museum.

Museum acquisition The Philadelphia Museum of Art has acquired three tile panels in the style of Art Nouveau. These panels are a fitting acquisition because of the continuation into the present of the Museum's extensive collection of Dutch tiles from the 16th to the 19th centuries. The first panel is produced by Joost Thooft & Labouchère around 1903, the second, named Juffertje in 't geel, by the Koninklijke Porselein en Aardewerk Fabriek Rozenburg around 1905, and the third by the Plateelbakkerij De Distel around 1906.
