In mei 2007 werden de 38 majolica-tableautegels uit de collectie van Museum Plantin-Moretus teruggevonden. Tot dan had Antwerpen het moeten stellen met een signalement en zwart-wit afbeeldingen die dateren uit 1945. Samen met tegels uit enkele andere collecties, zowel in binnenland als buitenland, zijn vandaag 58 tegels van dit type gekend. Dit is dan ook een ideale gelegenheid om deze meesterwerken van de Antwerpse majolicanijverheid via een inventarisstudie onder de aandacht te brengen.

De Hasseltse vereniging vzw Verzamelaars Unie Hasselts Keramiek (VUHK) doet met deze tentoonstelling een poging om de Hasseltse keramiek toegankelijker te maken voor het grote publiek. Via een leuke invalshoek zal de tentoonstelling een overzicht bieden van de verschillende opdrachtgevers voor publicitaire keramiek tijdens de art-nouveau periode en tonen hoe Hasseltse keramiek een deel ging uitmaken van hun communicatieplan.

Website - Inlegtegels met spreuken en jaartal in de collectie van het Nederlands Instituut voor Scheeps- en onderwaterArcheologie te Lelystad. Compleet tegelplateau: gevonden in vuurkist. De tegels zijn voorzien van vier verschillende motieven: A) met cirkel waarin spreuk "alle ding heeft synen tyt", B) met overhoekse band met spreuk als A, C) ornament tegel, D) ornament tegel met in hart het jaartal 1561 in spiegelschrift. Afkomstig uit een vissersschip (waterschip) vergaan in de tweede helft van de 16de eeuw op de Zuiderzee, gevonden in het huidige Biddinghuizen op kavel W 10 in Oostelijk Flevoland. Exhibition - "Tell-Tale Tiles & Fractured Fantasies”, March 15 to April 15, 2010, Philadelphia, PA is an exhibition exploring contemporary tile making and ceramic mosaic as a story-telling medium in the spirit of artists Henry Chapman Mercer and Isaiah Zagar. The scope of the exhibition will be broadened to include social, political, personal and family stories.
This exhibition is inspired by the rich history of tile and mosaic in the Philadelphia area over the past 100 years, highlighting the historic works of Mercer along with the contemporary narratives of Zagar. The exhibition is co-presented by Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens (PMG) and the Tile Heritage Foundation (THF).
