Otterlo - Nederlands Tegelmuseum
"Naakte waarheid" i.e. Naked Truth, cupids on tiles. Until the 1st of March 2026.
In art we know the winged kids for over 2000 years. In the middle of the 17th century this was a popular theme on Dutch tiles. For this exhibition a large range of these tiles from the 16th to the 20th century. Further many objects and pictures give a wide overview of this phenomenon into the 20th century.

Vive la France, exhibition, until may 2026.
French floor and mural tiles in art nouveau and art deco from the collection Roberto Pozzo.
France had a long tradition in producing tiles. The heydays was the period of the Art Nouveau around 1900 ~1910.

The David Collection is a special museum in the centre of Kopenhagen. It contains a very large collection of Islamic art, including 100+ tiles. Also in the building is a nice collection of European art of the 18th century like paintings, furniture and ceramics.

Estonia
Tallinn, The Kadriorg Palace
The Kadriorg Art Museum is the only museum in Estonia devoted to early European and Russian art. In a Baroque palace built by Tsar Peter the Great of Russia as a summer residence, the Art Museum of Estonia houses and displays paintings, prints, sculptures and applied art from Western Europe and Russia. One of the highlights are the original tile stoves from the 18th century decorated in blue and white.

Latvia

Pilsrundale, Rundāle Palace,
The most important baroque palace of Latvia has been built in 1750 for Ernst Johann von Biron. Later it was acquired by Empress Catherine the Great (Empress of Russia, 1762-1796). It is a miracle that the palace survived may wars. In a few stately rooms you can admire fine tiled stoves of the 18th century.

Vilnius, National Museum – Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania.

The National Museum – Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania was founded in 2009 and is housed in a historic residence - the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania in Vilnius Lower Castle. After more than 20 years of extensive archaeological and historical research, some palace areas have been restored, while others have been reconstructed. A lot of fragments of stove tiles from around 1600 have been found. This has resulted in the reconstruction of 10 stoves with various tile patterns.

The Registan (Uzbek: Registon) was the heart of the city of Samarkand of the Timurid Empire, now in Uzbekistan. The name Registan means "sandy place" in Persian. The three madrasahs of the Registan ensemble were built under the Uzbek Janid and Timurid dynasties, between 1420 and 1660.
