Escher tiles at home. Until the 20th of March 2024
Frm optical illusions and unconscionable architecture to life-like nature: the art of Maurits Cornelis Escher (1898-1972) has it all. Escher was not only a graphic artist, he also designed for the public space. He made designs for tiled columns for two schools. Those tiles are now on display.

The Gilliot- en Roelants Tegelmuseum
The Belgian tile production between the two world wars is covered. Change of taste and affordability, after the end of the First World war, caused a change in the tile supply. The succesful manufacturers held their position and were international a succes.
Special exhibition: From Classicism to Art Nouveau, 18 June 2023 - May 2024
Over 300 tiles and panels cover this era with influences from the Orient and the Far East.

Sarreguemines - Moulin de la Blies - Musée des techniques faïencières et Jardin des Faïenciers
The museum showing the technical side of the local fayence industry. Between 1825 and 1969 was this one of the many factories of Sareguemines. In teh cellar is an explanation of the processing of the used clay.

Barnsley - Cannon Hall Museum, starting the 12th February 2024.
Country estate with house and gardens. This museum also accomodates until january 2025 the De Morgan museum dedicated to the artist couple William and Evelyn de Morgan. Both were painters and he was also a famous ceramist who experimented with special glazing and produces many remarkable tiles. He was part of the Arts and Crafts established also by his friend William Morris. In the museum is now a large collectieon of thteir art on display. Further you can find Dutch tiles in the old ballroom.
