Otterlo - Nederlands Tegelmuseum
Werk ! Tiles with profession and labour as theme. From 1600 - 2000. Ends15th of February 2025.
Helly Oestreicher! A small exhibition of a few pieces by Helly, who is over eighty now, in the Nederlands Tegelmuseum. Until mid april 2025.
Starting april the 12th. Angel like, cupids on tiles.
In art we know the winged kids for over 2000 years. In the middle of the 17th century this was a popular theme on Dutch tiles. For this exhibition a large range of these tiles have been brought together to give a wide overview and background. Also is shown how this theme was used in the 20th century.

Den Haag, Museum Escher in the Palace
17 september 2024 - 16 february 2025. A remarkable gift for Escher in the Palace: two unknown drawings by M.C. Escher.
Maurits Cornelis Escher was famous for his optical illusions, his other work is lesser known. During 1959/1960 he designed a tile tableau with fishes and birds for a house in Amsterdam, ïnspired on his print Air and water (1938).

Donation of the collection Jacques Bongaerts to Keramiekcentrum Tiendschuur
The founadtion to protect Ceramic Heritage Jac. Bongaerts donates her collection to Keramiekcentrum De Tiendschuur in Tegelen. Tiendschuur is very happy with this gift. Work is in progress on a exhibition of all the work by Jacques Bongaerts.

The David Collection is a special museum in the centre of Kopenhagen. It contains a very large collection of Islamic art, including 100+ tiles. Also in the building is a nice collection of European art of the 18th century like paintings, furniture and ceramics.

Kopenhagen, Rosenborg Castle
A royal castle dating from 1624. The toilet near the bedroom of Christiaan IV has Dutch tiles all over the place, dating around 1700. The other rooms of the castle are also very attractive.

The old town hall of Norden is the location of the Tea museum. The building has a few rooms with tiled walls and fireplaces, which are very attractive. The museum has an extensive exhibition about the origin and the use of tea.

Mariefred , Gripsholms Slott
This castle, built in the 16th century, is built by Gustaaf Vasa. Nowadays it houses the Royal portrait gallery. Around 1900, during a restoration, one floor is decorated with an imitation of Dutch tiles from around 1600. This castle, about 50 km from Stockholm, is certainly an interesting place to visit.
